Logan Faris, Ed.D.                        

Dr. Logan Faris joined Northwest ISD in June of 2015.  Prior to joining Northwest ISD, he worked as a secondary principal and assistant principal in McKinney ISD, Center ISD and Nacogdoches ISD. He was most recently the principal of McKinney High School from 2012 until the end of the 2014-2015 school year at which time he was named Executive Director of Secondary Education for Northwest ISD. Dr. Faris earned his Bachelor of Science, Master of Education and Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership degrees from Stephen F. Austin University.  Dr. Faris has also served as Adjunct Graduate Professor for the College of Education at Dallas Baptist University since 2008.

Dr. Faris has served as both a high school and middle school principal in McKinney ISD earning recognitions as a 2012 Intel Schools of Distinction Finalist for innovation in math instruction with Dowell Middle School; McKinney High School ranked with a Gold  Medal Designation and in the top 3% nationally with the 2014 US News and World Report High School Rankings; McKinney High School was named as the first high school to achieve the recognition as a Cooper Institute Healthy Zone School in 2013; and Dr. Faris was selected as a member of the Texas Principal’s Visioning Institute during the 2014-2015 school year.

Primary Responsibilities: Supervise and monitor programs of basic instruction in grades 6-12 and provide leadership in the development and growth of secondary campus administrators.
