  • TEA Approves Waiver

    TEA Approves Waiver for Missed Instructional Days due to inclement weather, Northwest ISD closed school on December 6, December 9, December 10 and March 3. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has approved a missed instructional days waiver requested from Northwest ISD for December 10 and March 3. Two bad weather make-up days have been built into the school calendar. Students have already made up one day (February 17). The next bad weather make-up day will be Friday, April 18. The last day of school will be Friday, June 6

Haslet Heroes Leading the Way!

Haslet Elementary is proud to serve the students and community in and around Haslet, Texas! As a K-5 school serving approximately 500 students, Haslet Elementary is rated Exemplary by the Texas Education Agency. Anchored by a strong partnership with parents, Haslet Elementary is well-known for its community involvement and sense of pride.
A commitment to ensure that every student succeeds in every classroom every day is evident throughout the school as students and teachers work collaboratively to challenge one another through meaningful learning experiences.

Haslet Elementary was recently named as a runner-up for the Shirly Hord Learning Team Award by the National Staff Development Council and regularly receives visitors who are interested in learning about innovative ways to engage students and teachers in the learning process.
