Our Schools:

Who is she??

Hi! My name is Lyndsay Jackson and I teach first grade at Hughes Elementary.  I went to Abilene Christian University.  This year is my eleventh year teaching.  I taught a Reading Recovery program in Johnson City my first year, then I moved to NISD where I taught Kindergarten for three years and this is my seventh year in first grade.  I have been here at Hughes Elementary since it opened!
I love teaching and I believe school should be a place that each child looks forward to.  It is important for me to create an atmosphere where every child feels loved, comfortable and successful.  Each year is an adventure and no two years are ever the same, which makes it exciting to come to work.  I love to have fun and I believe that you should laugh and enjoy life every single day.
