  • NISD Announces New Summer Camp Opportunity

    Northwest ISD is proud to present a new summer camp, Camp ECO, at the Outdoor Learning Center.

  • Justin Elementary 1st Grade Egg Inquiry

    Let the Hatching Begin....There is an incubator in the library with 12 eggs. Eggs take 21 days to hatch. April 14 is the expected hatching date. There is a live feed on Ustream of the eggs in the incubator Teachers have made comments on the blog on Ustream.

    Join us for the Boosterthon Pep Rally on Tuesday, April 8th @ 1:45 pm.
    The Boosterthon FUN RUN is Thursday, April 17th.
    K-2 at 8:30 am.
    3-5 at 9:45 am.

    This is great way for students to learn by "playing" games and earning coins after completing problems in math and reading.

  • Leadership Club

    We are looking for 4th & 5th graders who want to make our school the best in the universe! Students leaders volunteer around the school with a job before school, during recess, or afterschool once a week. Duties include opening car doors, emptying recycle containers, working with kindergarten students, and helping with morning announcements.

    Each class is working as a team to meet the standard in the common areas of the building. The cafeteria is tough! Classes will earn dog tags to wear as a reward for meeting this goal.

  • "Not at MY School!"

    Teachers and students have joined together to look for signs of bullying and not be a bystander when someone needs our help. We are practicing ways to step in and help someone who is the target of a bully.
    1. Walk over and stand/sit next to the victim.
    2. Use your words to tell the bully "No".
    3. Tell an adult nearby what is happening.
