At Justin Elementary, we work hard to keep a healthy attitude about the state mandated STAAR test. Our students work through the district curriculum that is paced to cover all of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills. Through a benchmark test and practice pages, we can monitor which skills your child has mastered and which skills need more practice. The STAAR test is our chance to "Show What We Know!" If at any time, your child exhibits any signs of stress about the STAAR test, please let his/her teacher know immediately.
Thank you for putting these testing dates on your home calendar and planning ahead for dental and medical appointments. The campus will be closed to ALL visitors on STAAR testing days.

Teachers and students have joined together to look for signs of bullying and not be a bystander when someone needs our help. We are practicing ways to step in and help someone who is the target of a bully.
1. Walk over and stand/sit next to the victim.
2. Use your words to tell the bully "No".
3. Tell an adult nearby what is happening.
We are looking for 4th & 5th graders who want to make our school the best in the universe! Students leaders volunteer around the school with a job before school, during recess, or afterschool once a week. Duties include opening car doors, emptying recycle containers, working with kindergarten students, and helping with morning announcements.
