Each grade will rehearse a minimum of 30 minutes a week. 

4th Grade Choir: Fridays from 10:25-10:55

5th Grade Choir: Fridays from 9:30-10:00
 
Combined choir rehearsals for ALL choir students will take place on Thursday mornings from 7:15-7:45 a.m. close to performance dates.

Spring Performance Dates:
Required Performances 
 
Spring Concert--April 12, 2013 @ 6:30 p.m. 
in the Vernon Solomon Performing Arts Center at Northwest High School.
All choir students need to be at the PAC by 5:30 p.m.  Wear choir t-shirt, jeans and tennis shoes.
 
 
To be eligible to attend the end of the year choir party students must attend both required performances (Holiday Concert in December and Spring Concert ).
 
 
Optional Performances

Brahmas Hockey Game-April 20 @ 7:00 p.m.

The choir will NOT be singing but can still go and watch the game. Students need to wear choir t-shirt, jeans and tennis shoes.

The cost of tickets will be $5 per person. All ticket money must be turned in by April. 19th. (CASH ONLY)

Northwest High School Baseball Game-April 19th @ 7:00 p.m.

The choir will be singing the National Anthem at the NHS Baseball Fields.
 
 
Students need to wear choir t-shirt, jeans and tennis shoes.  Students need to be at NHS Baseball Field by 6:30 p.m. 

Choir students will be admitted free of charge.  Siblings who wear their Prairie View School shirt will be admitted free as well.  All others will be charged $4.

 
Winter Concert--Dec. 11, 2012 @ 6:00 p.m.
 
All Choirstudents are required to attend. Students need to be at school by 5:30p.m. All students need to wear 50s style clothing unless Mrs. Nassiff has contacted you about wearing something different.
 
Christmas in the Stockyards-Dec. 1st @ 1:30 p.m.
Optional performance.
 
We will NOT be taking a bus.  Students and parents will meet Mrs. Nassiff at the Fort Worth Stockyards by the large Christmas Tree in front of the Exchange Building at 12:45 p.m.  We will sing at 1:30 p.m. and then the students will be free to leave or walk around the stockyards with their parents/guardians. If parents/guardians cannot attend and want their child to attend they must make arrangements for someone else to bring their child to the Stockyards and supervise them while they are there. No school district employees will be available to supervise students after the performance.  Dress will be choir t-shirt with white, long sleeved white shirt underneath, jeans, tennis shoes and Santa hat.

The easiest route is to take bussiness 287S through Saginaw, which becomes Main Street, all the way to the Stockyards.  Turn left on Exchange Street and go all the way to the end of the the street.  Free parking will be on your left.  We will be singing at the Exchange Building (the one with the large Christmas tree).

Parking is located across from Cowtown Coliseum in Mule Alley, on the east end of Exchange Avenue at Stockyards Station, and one block North of Cowtown Coliseum at Billy Bob's Texas.

Holiday in the Park at Six Flags-Dec.15th @ 2:00 p.m.
 
Optional performance-students mustattend the Holiday Concert to be eligible tosing with the choir at Six Flags.We will NOT be taking a bus.  Students and parents will meet Mrs. Nassiffat Six Flags at the Carousel Stage (at the front entrance) in the park no latert han 1:30 p.m.  The park is open from 2p.m.-10 p.m. so students can ride the rides after the performance under their parent/guardian’s supervision. If parents/guardians cannot attend and want their child to attend they must make arrangements for someone else to bring their child to Six Flags and supervise them while they are there. No school district employees will be available to supervise students after the performance.  The cost is $20.00 perperson. Food vouchers are optional and available for $10.00. The food choices include 1. Cheeseburger, fries and drink 2. Chicken nuggets, fries and drink or3. Pizza and drink.  If you or your child has a season pass they may use it.  All money for tickets must be in to Mrs. Nassiff no later than Nov 26th-(CASH ONLY).  Dress will be choir t-shirt with white, long sleeved white shirt underneath, jeans, tennis shoes and Santa hat. 

 

Choir T-shirts

Choir t-shirts, jeans and tennis shoes are the attire for most concerts. 

Choir t-shirts are available for $10.  Please send $10 CASH by Oct. 19th  for your child's          t-shirt. If your child was in choir last year they do not need to purchase another shirt unless they need a different size or their shirt is not in good condition.
