During November, the Child Nutrition Department of Northwest ISD will be hosting a Junior Chef Competition. The goal of this competition is to provide students with the opportunity to use their recipe development skills and knowledge of healthy food choices as they create a one-of-a-kind recipe to be featured in Northwest ISD elementary school cafeterias. “Beginning Wednesday, October 1 there is a change in morning arrival for those parents using our Parent Drop-Off in the back of the school. Please make note that we have changed the time to student drop-off in the rear of the school to 7:40 am. Staff will close the back doors at 7:40 in order to help prevent students from being counted as tardy as well as to have teachers who assist with morning drop-off to be able to arrive in their classroom ready for instruction in their classrooms at 7:45. If you arrive past 7:40 please park in the front parking lot and walk your child into the school building. As a reminder, the front circle drive is reserved to bus and daycare drop-off only. Student drop-off is not permitted in the front circle drive until after 7:45 am
