Elizabeth Mitias 
Mrs. Mitias grew up in Wichita Falls, TX, and graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering.  While at Texas A&M, she competed as a member of the Bovay Engineering Ethics team, completed an internship at Queen’s University Belfast in Northern Ireland, and participated in the T-BIRD program, an interdisciplinary capstone rocket design project.

After graduation, she lived overseas for several years, and decided to move into teaching as a career after working at Udine International School in northeast Italy.  Mrs. Mitias has taught mathematics and physics, and came to Northwest High School in 2010 to teach in the STEM Academy.
