  • Peterson Teachers Have Talent

    During the Talent Show Event, Peterson teachers surprised the audience with their musical performance. Not only do the teachers have classroom talents that allow them to motivate their students, they also have musical abilities.

    The Peterson Talent Show took place Tuesday, May 15th. This event would not have taken place without the help and coordination by our PTA volunteers and emcee, Dr. Bishoff.

    On Friday, April 27th, Peterson was fortunate to have Mr. Bimenyimana Philbert, dad of Bini and Nika, serve as a Watch D.O.G.S. volunteer for our campus.

  • Earth Day 2012

    Sunday, April 22nd, was a Team Up with Peterson Elementary Earth Day Celebration. Families and Peterson Staff members enjoyed a beautiful day outside with activities for all ages. We had: three legged races, sack races, hula hoops, tug of war, face painting, recycle stations, a book swap, basketball, and so much more. Ace from Aramark even showed up to break ground on Ace's Garden where vegetables will be grown.

  • NISD 2012 Techno Expo

    Peterson Elementary was represented by an exemplary group of Techno Experts in this year's Techno Expo. Student projects fell into the following categories: multimedia, digital design, website design, desktop publishing and animation. Special thanks to their sponsoring teachers: Dr. Bishoff, Ms. Diggs, Ms. Fink, Ms. Jansen, Ms. Tweedie, and Ms. Sanders.

  • Spelling Bee

    Congratulations to our all our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders who participated in our Spelling Bee. We are proud to send Leslie H. as our first place winner to the district bee on February 8th. Bini S. and Anna B. were our 2nd and 3rd place winners.

  • Battle of the Books

    We held our Peterson Battle of the Books competition on Friday, January 6th. Congratulations to Audrey, Avery, Bella, Caitlyn, Grace and Kayleigh for advancing on to the district level. They will compete on February 7th against other teams in the district.
