Samuel Beck Elementary school is the recipient of a Promising Practices Award from Character.org. The campus received this award for an effective strategy used to develop good character in young people. Beck is being recognized for their efforts with Beckopoly, a student-led opportunity to showcase their business talents by creating, marketing and selling products or services to their peers and the community. This year, there was an increased focus on integrity, responsibility, and teamwork. Beck represents one of four schools in the state to achieve this award. Character.org will honor the 2015 Promising Practices recipients at the annual Forum in Atlanta, GA, where they will share their successful strategies with other educators.
Northwest ISD appreciates concerns from parents and community members regarding the second bad weather make-up day on Monday, May 25. The district wants to assure parents that their concerns are heard. This was not an easy decision to make. Much thought was put into this decision based on the guidelines from the Texas Education Agency given to local districts. Click the article to read more.
Our first ever "Birdies for Beck" golf tournament will be held at Trophy Club Country Club on Tuesday, May 26th at 11:00 am.
