Dual Language One-Way Program – Kindergarten, and Grade 1 at Roanoke Elementary / Programa de Lenguaje Dual Unidireccional – Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, y Grado 1 en Roanoke Elementary

Roanoke Elementary will offer a Dual Language One-Way Program of English and Spanish instruction for Spanish speaking students only (eligible as English Language Learner) who will be entering Kindergarten and Grade 1 for the 2016-17 school year.

Dual Language One-way students receive bilingual grade level instruction in the core content areas using the Northwest Independent School District's Curriculum for math, science, social studies, and language arts/reading.

Northwest ISD Dual Language Two-Way Program – Grades 2-5 at Roanoke Elementary / Programa de Lenguaje Dual de Northwest ISD - Grados 2-5 en Roanoke Elementary

For Spanish speaking students who are eligible as English Language Learners whose native language is Spanish, the Dual Language Two-Way program hosted at Roanoke will service ALL elementary campuses for the Grades 3-5 for the 2016-17 school year.

Students entering Grade 2 who are eligible as English Language Learners whose native language is Spanish will be served at the bilingual hosting locations for the specified campuses below unless space is limited:

Transportation Update:

Transportation will be provided to all students enrolled in the Dual Language program at Roanoke.

Transportation will be provided to all students who have been enrolled in the Dual Language class at Roanoke and who will be attending Medlin Middle School to participate in the 3-Year Spanish Program.

 

Durham will be planning routes during the summer months and will notify each student of their bus routes including the stop location and times by early August.
