Welcome to Sendera Ranch Elementary (SRE) home to the LONGHORNS! I am so blessed to serve as the principal of this school for the past seven years. It is my continued goal to lead our students and staff to academic and social success. The teachers and staff are dedicated to providing the best for each of our students. That, coupled with the partnership of parents, makes for a successful learning environment for our students. Check out the Community Dashboard of NISD. If you are a new parent to SRE, I hope you take every opportunity to be involved in your child’s education. Our PTA is a driving force in partnering with your parents. Don’t underestimate what your involvement and membership in PTA can make in the culture of your child’s school. There are many volunteer opportunities, as well. Be on the lookout for e-mails from your child’s teacher, as well as our Longhorn News. This is my 25th year serving as an educator to students and their families. After graduating from the University of North Texas in 1991, I began my teaching career in Spring ISD. After teaching there for 3 years, we moved our family to the North Texas area where I taught an additional 3 years in Birdville ISD. While in Birdville ISD, I received my Master’s Degree in Education and Administration from Texas Woman’s University and became an Assistant Principal in Birdville ISD for 4 years. Thirteen years ago I became a principal in Northwest ISD. While in Northwest ISD, I transitioned Hatfield Elementary from being an Intermediate School to an Elementary School. Three years later, I opened J. Lyndal Hughes Elementary. Three short years later, I opened Sendera Ranch Elementary School. During my tenure at Sendera Ranch Elementary, I completed my doctorate from Nova Southeastern University in Educational Leadership.
It is a pleasure and a privilege to serve the community in Sendera Ranch. I look forward to getting to know new students and their families. This school is a great place to make lasting memories and relationships.
