The mission of the Gene Pike Middle School library is to ensure that all students and staff are effective users of information and to promote reading as a lifelong pastime.

Librarian - Mrs. Fitzgerald
I was born and raised in northern New York spending winters skiing in the Adirondacks and summers boating on the St. Lawrence River. I am the 5th of 6 children and I am a 4th generation educator. I was a classroom teacher for 9 years in the Houston area before moving into a school librarian position. This is my 35rd year as an educator and I love working with students and teachers to share my enthusiasm for implementing an awesome library program. I bring with me a wealth of experience and ideas but I am always looking for something new and exciting.

Library Hours
The GPMS school library is open 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily.  Students and faculty have the opportunity to use the library before and after school.  Students may check out our digital and audio eBooks 24/7.  Please feel free to contact me at my email above if you have questions after school or on weekends.  I am proud to offer virtual hours and services to the Pike MS community.
