April is National Poetry month and the 4th graders at Justin celebrated by inviting parents and classmates to listen as students shared poems.
The surf was up, the limbo was low, and the hula contest went around and around last Friday night during the Family Luau. Thank you PTA for hosting such a fun, active event for the families at Justin.
Students from the Interior Design classes at Northwest High School, under the supervision of Stacy Fanning, spent several months designing new themes for the staff lounge and 4 restrooms. Students painted, hung artwork, and created fabric panels to update the decor for the teachers.

Who knew that earning "virtual stickers" would be so engaging? The students at Justin are practicing math skills while competing against kids all over the district. Click the title "First in Math" to find the link.
Teachers and students have joined together to look for signs of bullying and not be a bystander when someone needs our help. We are practicing ways to step in and help someone who is the target of a bully.
1. Walk over and stand/sit next to the victim.
2. Use your words to tell the bully "No".
3. Tell an adult nearby what is happening.
