Prekindergarten Registration will take place in August 2014. Students must me four by September 1, 2014 and meet at least one of the state criteria to qualify for Prekindergarten for the 2014-2015 school year.  Qualification and registration is by appointment only.  Check back here after spring break for information regarding appointment times and information packets.

Students must qualify for Prekindergarten at the campus before the registration process can be complete. 
Prekindergarten registration will take place at area Pre-K campuses  and enter your home address. You can make a registration appointment by calling one of the following. Prekindergarten campuses: Roanoke Elementary, Hughes Elementary, Hatfield Elementary, Prairie View Elementary, Seven Hills Elementary, Nance Elementary and Peterson Elementary. If your home campus is not listed  you may register to attend the closest Pre-K near your home. Please note:
Prekindergarten is a half-day, instructional program. The morning class is from 7:45-10:45 a.m. and the afternoon class is from 11:45 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. Transportation is not provided during the mid-day hours.  You will need to make arrangements to have your child dropped off and picked at the appropriate times so they can get the most out of their day of learning.
Northwest ISD offers Prekindergarten classes for qualifying four-year-olds. To be eligible for enrollment for the 2013-2014 school year a child must be at least four years of age by September 1, 2013 and meet at least one of the following requirements:
Unable to speak and comprehend the English language
as documented on the oral language proficiency test administered at registration 

Economically Disadvantaged
eligible for free or reduced lunch program -based on gross income of all working members of the household
Active Duty Military
Active duty uniformed members (parents or official guardians) of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, or Coast Guard who are assigned to duty stations in Texas or who are Texans who have eligible children residing in Texas; this includes activated/mobilized uniformed members of the Texas National Guard (Army or Air Guard), or activated/mobilized members of the reserve components of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, or Coast Guard who are Texas residents regardless of the location of the reserve unit; and uniformed service members who are Missing in Action (MIA), or injured while on active duty.

Foster Care
Children who are in or who have ever been in the conservatorship of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) following and adversary hearing. This includes children that have been adopted or returned to their parents after having been in DFPS conservatorship.
