Durham School Services and Northwest ISD are excited to begin the 2014-2015 school year. We would like to remind all new and current students to visit our website at www.nisdtx.org and follow the links for transportation to find their bus route information prior to school start.
Anyone in the US can receive Tweets as texts on their phone even if they haven’t signed up for Twitter. This is a simple way for people to get information they care about in real-time. If you don’t have a Twitter account (and don’t want one!) you can still find out what is happening through these text messages. (Standard messaging rates apply.) To get started text: “Follow @RoanokeRangers” to 40404 and you will start receiving tweets from that user on your device. You can turn off receiving updates by sending “STOP @RoanokeRangers” to 40404.
Dear 5th Grade Parents and Students: It is an exciting time for your 5th graders as they move forward into 6th grade and middle school. We encourage all of our students to read over the summer to prepare for a rigorous middle school curriculum. Click on the picture to find the recommended reading lists for students that are entering the Language Arts classroom on level as well as those entering Pre-AP or GT Language Arts. We are excited about these book selections because they are of high interest and will engage students in reading over the summer.
