RAPTOR VISITOR SIGN-IN PROCEDURE
All Northwest ISD schools use the RAPTOR program to digitally screen all school visitors. When you visit our campus, you must present a driver's license or alternate government-issued photo identification to visit any part of the school. You will then be issued a name tag to wear while on the school campus. Any visitor not wearing a name tag will be escorted back to the office by a staff member. The purpose of this security system is to ensure the security and safety for all students and staff members. It is not intended to discourage parents or volunteers from visiting on the school campus at any time.
We appreciate your cooperation and support of our check-in procedures.
THOMPSON ELEMENTARY VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are a critical part of a successful school! Parents, grandparents, community, and business members of the Thompson Community are invited to particpate in the education of our children by volunteering at the school in an area of expertise or interest. Volunteers may support teachers inside classrooms with small groups of students and with other tasks that might be completed at home. Volunteers are also needed in the school office, library, art, music, and gym.
All school volunteers are required to complete a Northwest ISD background clearance check prior to volunteering. This includes attending a field trip, class party, or field day. The clearance will remain on file for one school year. Click below to complete the security clearance for the 2011-2012 school year. Get a head start on next year, the form for the 2012-2013 is also available at the link below.
Thank you for considering becoming a volunteer at Thompson Elementary!
