403(b)
Supplemental retirement plans may be payroll deducted through Northwest ISD if the 403(b) companies are on the TRS list of Approved Carriers. The list may be obtained by contacting the Benefits and Risk Management Office or click here for providers. 403(b) s require third party approval. The Districts Third Party Administrator is National Plan Administrator. Employees agent must file paperwork through third party administrator prior to approval for payroll deductions.
457(b)

Employees may elect to subscribe to a retirement savings plan through a 457(b), another tax deferred plan. The District contracts with PARS (Public Agency Retirement Services) as its 457(b) carrier. Employees may complete Salary Deferral Agreement at the Benefits and Risk Management office. 457(b) does not require third party approval for payroll deduction.
