Eric Drewery Named Medlin Middle School Principal

“I’m very excited to lead this campus to greater and greater things,” said EricDrewery, the new principal of Medlin Middle School.  “I know the staff, the parents and most importantly, I know the students.  This will be a smooth transition for everyone.” Drewery has served as assistant principal at Medlin since 2008 and he has worked as a summer school principal in past years. He brings strong teaching and leadership experience from Medlin as well as the Katy ISD and Stafford Municipal School District.

Drewery’s background in counseling and social work helps him to ensure that students receive the support and services needed to succeed in middle school.  “One of the things that make Medlin great is that our students and teachers strive to be the best. We’re successful in everything we do, whether it’s in fine arts or athletics,” he said. “I look forward to carrying on the exemplar traditions and the pride that goes along with being a Medlin Mustang.” Drewery’s bachelor’s degree is from the University of Texas, with a master’s from the University of Texas at Arlington and additional graduate coursework at the University of Houston at Clear Lake.
