NISD Fifth Grade Honor Choir to Perform at State Convention

The Northwest ISD fifth grade honor choir has been invited to perform for the 2013 Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Convention in San Antonio. The 90 member choir, representing students from all 16 Northwest ISD elementary schools, was selected for this honor through a state-wide audition process. Only five elementary choirs in the state of Texas are selected each year to perform for the TMEA convention. TMEA is the largest music organization of its kind in the nation, with more than 11,000 members world-wide.  The concert will take place on Thursday,February 14 at 2 p.m. at the TMEA Conference in San Antonio. This year’s honor choir will be the first to represent Northwest ISD at the TMEA convention.
