Northwest ISD celebrated the official dedication of Truett Wilson Middle School on November 8. The ceremony included performances from the Wilson Middle School choir, orchestra and band; a gift presentation to the Wilson family; and stories and memories shared from a friend and neighbor of the Wilson family Paulette Layfield. The school’s namesake, Truett Wilson, was a former NISD teacher, principal and superintendent. Wilson Middle School opened in August in the Sendera Ranch neighborhood to relieve student enrollment growth at Gene Pike and Chisholm Trail middle schools.
