Health Screening
The Texas Department of Health requires students to receive periodic screenings for health issues related to problems with Hearing, Vision, Scoliosis and Pre-Diabetes (AN).

Students in KG, 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th grade are screened to detect problems with hearing and distance vision. For more information click Vision & Hearing Screening Texas.

During the screening for hearing, the examiner will briefly look at the student's neck to determine whether they have a skin marker suggesting they may be at risk for Pre-Diabetes.
For more information please click Pre-Diabetes Screening Texas.

Per guidelines from the State of Texas, female students are screened for scoliosis, an abnormal curvature of the back, at 10 and 12 years of age. Male students are screened at 13 years of age. For more information, please click Scoliosis Screening Texas.

Please see the Health Services Calendar for screening dates at your child's campus.
