Steele Accelerated High School, Northwest ISD’s college- and career-focused high school, will accept applicants for the fall 2019 semester until 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9.

The campus serves as home to two of the district’s academies, the Collegiate Academy and Academy of Cosmetology. The former allows students to focus on their post-secondary collegiate plans by offering several dual credit course offerings to gain college credit, while the latter allows students to learn tools of their desired trade to earn cosmetology certification.

The school currently has a limited number of open spots for ninth-, tenth- and eleventh-grade students for the 2019-20 school year. To apply for a spot, click here to fill out a form.

Students at Steele can attend dual credit college courses, receive cosmetology certifications, work toward earning associate’s degrees while still in high school or get a head start on college. Additionally, the small high school setting may assist some students who desire personalized learning experiences for college readiness.
