Important Information


*All Region 2 UIL Music events have been cancelled for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.

*Instrument pickup times are currently being scheduled by each campus for those students who left personal instruments at school over spring break.

*Teachers are working diligently to plan and implement quality online lessons that will allow students to continue their learning at home.

*All trips and competitions have been cancelled through the end of April.

*Tryouts of any kind that have not yet taken place will be postponed. Online tryouts are being planned as a contingency plan if school is not held back on NISD campuses by the first of May. Specific tryout information will come from the program directors.

*Private music lessons may continue online. This is at the discretion of the private lesson teacher and the student/parent. Online lessons may be scheduled directly with the private lesson teacher.

*Construction and renovations of fine arts facilities will continue during online learning.

*Instrument selection and fittings for incoming 6th grade students enrolling in band and orchestra will be rescheduled for May. Online selection and sizing opportunities are being explored as a contingency plan if school is not held back on NISD campuses by the first of May.
