Immunization clinics will be held on four days at Northwest ISD facilities in June and July, with two dates in June coinciding with meal distribution at Love and Prairie View elementary schools before Old Texan Fieldhouse hosts clinics in July.

All clinics will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and are provided by Passport Health and Staying Healthy Medical Services. The first immunization clinic will take place June 23 at Love Elementary, while the next clinic will take place June 24 at Chisholm Trail Middle School. On July 15 and 22, Old Texan Stadium, across the street from Northwest ISD Stadium, will host clinics.

For information about health care providers accepted, please view the clinic flyers at the bottom of this page. For those who are 18 and younger and lack any insurance, costs are $10 per vaccine, with a limit of four vaccines per child.

Vaccines protect children, preteens and teens from 16 serious and potentially life-threatening diseases. When children are not vaccinated, they are at increased risk for diseases and can also spread diseases to others in their classrooms and community – including babies who are too young to be fully vaccinated and people with weakened immune systems due to cancer or other health conditions. Per the Texas Education Code, “A student shall show acceptable evidence of vaccination prior to entry, attendance, or transfer to a child-care facility or public or private elementary or secondary school in Texas.”

All seventh-graders must have the Tdap (tetanus and pertussis) and MCV4 (meningococcal) immunizations before the first day of classes in order to be able to attend school.

If a family chooses to opt out of immunizations, the proper documentation must be on file with the school before the first day of classes.

These exemptions are only valid for two years from the date signed and notarized. If you already have an exemption on file with your child’s school, please check with the campus health coordinator to be sure the exemption is current.
