Transportation
TRANSPORTATION

To limit the number of riders on a school bus, parents are encouraged to transport their children to and from school when possible.

Bus transportation will be available for all students who register for transportation and who who meet the eligibility requirements for transportation.

The following health and safety measures will be in place for the start of the 2020-2021 school year:

  • Bus drivers will be trained in COVID-19 safety protocols.

  • Masks MUST be worn at all times while on buses.

  •  Assigned seats to maintain proper social distancing.

  • Bus riders will be encouraged to sit apart from one another and will be required to sit facing the front of the bus and keep their hands to themselves.

  • Hand sanitizer will be available on all buses and is to be used by students when exiting the bus.

  • Seats, handles, and high-touch areas will be disinfected after every trip per TEA guidelines, utilizing CDC-approved disinfectant through Electrostatic Disinfectant Sprayers.

  • When possible, bus windows will be opened to allow outside air to circulate in the bus.

  •  Additional routes to accommodate fewer students being allowed per bus when applicable.
