Northwest ISD’s 2021 Middle School Musical production of “Singin' in the Rain Jr.,” opens tomorrow, Sept. 9, with performances taking place inside V.R. Eaton High School’s performing arts center.

Based on the 1952 movie of the same name, Singin’ in the Rain Jr. takes place in Hollywood during the last days of the silent movie era.  The story follows Don Lockwood, one half of the blockbuster celebrity silent movie star “couple” Lockwood and Lamont, and the extreme measures taken when his co-star’s high-pitched and nasal voice threatens the duo’s successful transition into talking pictures.

Shows will run daily at 7 p.m., with two performances on Saturday, Sept. 11 – the first at 2 p.m., followed by the final performance at 7 p.m.

V.R. Eaton High School is located at 1350 Eagle Blvd. in Haslet. The school’s performing arts center is located immediately to the right after parking in the back of the school.
