Student Services

The Student Services Department provides a broad spectrum of specialized services to meet the needs of students across the district in partnership with parents and community, and works in coordination with all staff to provide students a premier education and to provide preparation to be successful, productive citizens with intentional supports which may include:

Special Education
Within Special Education, students receive instructional and related services/interventions at all levels from preschool (PPCD) through completion of secondary education, or until transitioned to adult services.
 
Health Services
Student Health is provided for NISD students through an array of medical-related services, including nurses and/or trained staff at each campus.
 
School Counseling and Mental Health
Counseling services provide a comprehensive school-counseling program that promotes the academic, college/career, social/emotional growth of all students.
 
Student Services
Student services provide services and support for At Risk, 504, RTI, McKinney-Vento (homeless), foster, pregnancy-related services, Family Involvement, Parents as Teachers, Homebound Services, Summer School, Student Handbook and Code of Conduct, and any additional identified federal or compensatory programs or support needs.
