Digital Learning Resources

Throughout the summer, our students still have access to many educational platforms that they use during the year.

Lexia Core 5 and Imagine Math are two great resources that our students use to improve reading and math skills. These programs are set up like a gaming system and are interactive. Please encourage your students to use these and other tools throughout the summer to continue to stay engaged in their learning.

Directions for accessing these tools, as well as other digital resources, can be found on the Student and Parent Technology Help Site.

Summer Reading

In an effort to keep our NISD students engaged in literacy throughout the summer, secondary students will be required to read at least one book of their choice before the 3rd week of the 1st Quarter. We know that many students will want to get a head start on their book, and read it over the summer, so we want to support that effort.

This list of recommended/ suggested titles is for students or parents that would like a guideline to get started.

Fine Arts

Summer Strings - NISD middle school string orchestra students! Play with the NISD Summer Strings where you'll meet fellow string orchestra students from across the district and perform in a concert together in our summer camp grand finale. Eligible students are entering 7th or 8th grade for the 2021-2022 school year.

EHS Orchestra Students - Get a jump start to the 2021-2022 school year. Students will rehearse as a large ensemble, sections, and receive private lessons.

Visit the Fine Arts Summer Camps site for more information.
