Project Lead The Way Engineering Courses
Year 1
Intro to Engineering Design (IED)
Students dig deep into the engineering design process, 3D modeling, and hands-on projects.
Year 2
Principles of Engineering (POE)
Students explore a broad range of topics including mechanisms, strength of structure/materials, and automation.
Year 3 (Students select focus area]
Civil Engineering and Architecture
Students learn important aspects of building and site development in residential and commercial.
Aerospace Engineering
Students explore the physics of flight and design a glider, create a program for an autonomous space rover, and a racket.
Digital Electronics
Students explore the foundations of computing through circuit design, creating combinational logic and sequential logic like an electrical engineer.
Eningeering Design Presentation II (Mechatronics & Robotics)
Students will design, code, model, build and test phototypes to meet an objectice.
Year 4
Engineering Design and Development
Students identify a real-world challenge and then research, design, and test a solution, ultimately presenting their unique solution to a panel of engineers.
Additional Course Options include: Honors Computer Science I, II and III; Foundation of Cybersecurity; Scientific Research and Design; Engineering Design & Problem Solving; or Practicum in STEM
