Student Accessibility Resources (SAR)
Students enrolled in Dual Credit courses who have a documented disability may be eligible for accommodations through Tarrant County College's Student Accessibility Resources (SAR) office.
Unlike high school, accommodations for college courses are not automatically provided. Students must register with SAR to request accommodations for their Dual Credit classes. TCC recommends registering at least three weeks before classes begin to allow enough time for accommodations to be reviewed and approved.

New to College Accommodations?
High school accommodations are provided under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), while college accommodations are provided under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This means students take a more active role in requesting accommodations and communicating with their instructors.
If you have questions about accommodations or think you may qualify for services, we encourage you to contact SAR as early as possible.
Dual Credit & Early College Power Hour
TCC's Student Accessibility Resources team also offers a free virtual Power Hour designed specifically for Dual Credit and Early College High School students.
During these sessions, students learn strategies to:
- Navigate the transition from high school to college accommodations
- Build self-advocacy skills
- Strengthen study and self-monitoring habits
- Make the most of their approved accommodations
When: Tuesdays, 5:30–6:30 p.m.
