Legacy Wall at NISD Legacy Learning Center

Nomination for Legacy Learning Wall

Those who wish to recognize individuals who have positively represented and influenced Northwest ISD and its students are encouraged to submit nominations for the district’s Legacy Learning Wall.

This remembrance wall, located at the Legacy Learning Center, honors the heritage and history of Northwest ISD’s community through the individuals who have benefited area children. Northwest ISD will consider nominations that meet all of the following criteria:

  • They have lived within Northwest ISD boundaries at some point during their lifetime
  • They were affiliated with the district as a teacher, staff member, graduate or community member
  • They left a positive impact on students in Northwest ISD
  • Their attributes aligned with the values set in Northwest ISD’s mission, vision and beliefs

As with nominations for school building names, nominations are limited to individuals who are no longer living.

A naming committee will consider all submissions as well as the background information provided about each individual. This committee will then provide its recommendations to the Northwest ISD Board of Trustees, who will vote to recognize individuals on the Legacy Learning Wall.

Northwest ISD’s Legacy Learning Center houses district professional development spaces, the R.I.S.E. program and the Special Programs Center. It opened in phases in 2021 and 2022 following remodeling of its existing purpose as the previous Haslet Elementary School.
