Debate/Speech

Students in Northwest ISD Speech and Debate programs learn valuable skills in the area of communication and routinely perform in a variety of genres. In addition, high school students compete in local, regional and national tournaments in the areas of Extemporaneous Speaking (informative and persuasive), Debate (cross-examination), and Oral Interpretation (prose, poetry, Lincoln-Douglas debate).

Speech and Debate teams in Northwest ISD consistently place high in state and national competitions.
