Theatre in Northwest ISD is available to all students at the secondary level. The comprehensive 6-12 program includes studies in the areas of acting, writing, producing, film and cinema, technical theatre, set design and musical theatre. Northwest ISD produces top-notch performances which range from Shakespeare to full-scale musicals.

The Northwest ISD theatre programs at Byron Nelson, V.R. Eaton, and Northwest High School present high quality musicals annually for the community, including a full length Broadway show with a live pit orchestra. In addition, Northwest ISD produces the area's only all-district middle school musical, presented by the district's middle school students.
