New Hire Salary Schedule for Teachers

2023-2024 Hiring Schedule

Northwest ISD's hiring schedule begins at $60,100 for a new teacher with no existing experience and maxes out at $72,450 for those with 30 or more years of experience. Additionally, Northwest ISD pays an additional $2,000 a year for a teacher with a master's degree.

The salaries listed below are based on 10-month employment for the 2023-2024 school year. Salary plans are determined on an annual basis and salary advancement is not guaranteed. Pay increases are based on the annual pay raise budget approved by the Board of Trustees.

Salaries are determined individually with consideration for job-related experience and credentials.

Base Teacher Pay Plan

Beginning in the 2024-2025 school year, all Northwest ISD teachers will reside on the same base pay plan. A new base pay plan will be created annually to reflect potential midpoint raises. Longtime Northwest ISD teachers will earn a retention stipend, seen below, that rewards continuous years of service in the district.

Teacher Longevity Incentive

In an effort to value and retain teachers, the District will be offering a Teacher Longevity Incentive. The incentive will be provided to teachers upon qualification of years of service within the district. This incentive will be annualized along with the employee's base salary.
