Data Services

Data Services is responsible for the collection, administration, and reporting of student, staff, financial, and organizational data for Northwest ISD to comply with state and federal mandates. The Data Services Department develops, implements, and maintains district-wide data management systems, business processes, and best practices while ensuring privacy and confidentiality for all students and staff. Integration and analysis of data through custom reports helps to facilitate well-informed decisions for our district.

We strive to continually improve procedures and provide specialized training for campus personnel regarding the use and protection of data. We are committed to being a trusted steward of the personal information in our care.
 

Use and Security of Data

Student and staff data is used to create reports that provide information about student enrollment, performance, spending and implementation of legislation. Northwest ISD values the protection of student and staff data. Data is not used for any non educational purposes. The Technology Division, with input from our in-house attorney, reviews all contracts with vendors related to any staff or student data. In addition, Northwest ISD validates vendors with the Data Sharing Agreement in conjunction with data privacy practices.
