Several concerns were discussed regarding the elections and having students on campus that day. Stephanie is going to bring the concerns up to the Executive Director’s and cabinet and let everyone know if there is anything else that needs to be discussed.
Dr. Espinosa reviewed the law regarding our ESL students and gave an overview of our current ESL student numbers. She discussed a need for a Napoli exception waiver and ESL waiver, the committee voted to file waiver with TEA. Amberly took a vote and there was a majority vote to file the waiver with TEA.

They’ve had four meetings so far and will have another three meeting before bringing their recommendations to the board in January. He highlighted the areas of our district that are growing at an exponential rate and some of the projects they are considering.
