The Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented has named Advanced Academics Coordinator Audra Rowell as the 2025 Administrator of the Gifted, a statewide honor recognizing leaders who provide outstanding opportunities and support for gifted learners.

Each year, TAGT honors educators for their long-standing commitment to gifted education and their work to elevate services for gifted students through districtwide programs. Ms. Rowell will be recognized at the giftED25 conference in Grapevine this December.

With 32 years of experience in education, including teaching elementary grades, serving as GT Coordinator in Irving ISD and nearly a decade of leadership in Northwest ISD, Ms. Rowell helps guide a variety of programs across the district. Her leadership supports gifted services, Advanced Placement, Math Acceleration, PSAT/SAT, Destination Imagination, UIL Academics and summer enrichment opportunities.
