Two Northwest ISD high schools have earned recognition on the College Board’s AP School Honor Roll, highlighting the district’s commitment to student achievement and college readiness.

Byron Nelson High School received the Gold AP School Honor Roll distinction, while Eaton High School earned the Silver distinction. The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools that expand access to Advanced Placement coursework while maintaining strong student outcomes.

To qualify, schools must meet research-based criteria tied to college success, including having 40 percent or more of graduates take at least one AP exam, 25 percent or more earn a score of three or higher, and two percent or more complete five or more AP exams, with at least one taken in ninth or tenth grade.

This recognition reflects the continued efforts of students and staff at both campuses to foster a strong, college-going culture and academic excellence.
