Byron Nelson and Eaton high schools earn Texas 2024 AP School Honor Roll distinction
Two Northwest ISD high schools have earned spots on the Texas 2024 AP School Honor Roll, underscoring the district’s commitment to preparing students for academic success beyond high school.
Byron Nelson High School received the AP Silver Award, while Eaton High School earned the AP Bronze Award. The AP School Honor Roll, a recognition awarded by the College Board, celebrates schools that expand access to advanced placement programs while achieving strong student outcomes.
To qualify, schools must meet several criteria, including promoting a college-going culture, with 40% or more of students taking at least one AP exam; 25% or more of students scoring a three or higher on at least one AP exam; and 2% or more of students completing five or more AP exams, including at least one exam early in high school, according to College Board.
