Northwest ISD has named Cynthia Hollis as its next executive director of student affairs, bringing an experienced investigator to oversee support for student-faced challenges and facilitate resolutions of complaints.

Mrs. Hollis currently serves as the Title IX coordinator in Fort Worth ISD, where she previously served as an investigator. In her current role, Mrs. Hollis coordinates district complaints, supports hearing officers and conducts investigations. Her work ensures students and staff alike receive fair and impartial consideration during complaints.

Prior to joining Fort Worth ISD, Mrs. Hollis served as an investigator for the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services, first in Child Protective Services and later in the department’s Child Advocacy Center.

“I’m excited to join Northwest ISD and support students, families and staff across the district,” she said. “I am passionate about ensuring concerns are addressed with fairness, care and transparency, so every individual feels heard, respected and supported.”

In her work, Mrs. Hollis has earned a reputation of serving as an impartial administrator who adheres to legal policy and standards. She has led after-hours investigative teams supporting the needs of children and facilitated Title IX and school board policy training.

Mrs. Hollis earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Illinois State University and has obtained multiple certifications in investigation practices.
