Early voting underway

Early voting underway

Early voting is underway for May 6 elections, including Northwest ISD's bond and school board elections, which account for six questions on the ballot for voters who live within the school district's boundaries.

The Northwest ISD bond election includes three propositions (Proposition A for growth and new facilities, Proposition B for home stadiums, and Proposition C for technology devices). Voters can learn about items in each proposition at www.nisdtxbond.org.

In the Northwest ISD Board of Trustees election, three places are contested. Voters can read candidate filing information for this election on the district's elections webpage. Our school district only posts required filings as we cannot advocate for or oppose any candidate, and all information on our website must remain strictly factual about the election.

Early voting lasts from April 24 to May 2, with locations and times varying by the district's three counties. In Denton and Tarrant counties, voters can cast ballots during early voting at any county polling location. In Wise County, voters in Northwest ISD elections must cast ballots in their specific precincts. During Election Day on May 6, only Tarrant County voters can cast ballots at any polling location in their county; Denton and Wise counties require voters to cast ballots in their specific precincts on Election Day.
