Eaton’s Hunter Erb and Ben Roberts sign to play collegiate football

V. R. Eaton High School student-athletes Hunter Erb and Ben Roberts signed to play collegiate football and continue their academic careers on December 15, taking advantage of the NCAA’s National Letter of Intent early-signing option for the sport.

Hunter Erb — the first football player from Eaton to be named an All-American — is one of the top-ranked athletes in the nation. Erb signed with the Texas A&M Aggies, a Southeastern Conference football team.

Texas Tech signee Ben Roberts chose the Red Raiders over an offer list that included Air Force, Army, Lamar, Navy, Pennsylvania, SMU, Tulsa, Utah State and Wyoming. Listed as a safety, Roberts will play linebacker for the Big 12 program.
