Northwest ISD families may qualify for free or reduced-price school meals by completing the meal application, especially as recent changes to SNAP benefits could affect some families’ automatic eligibility.

While the free and reduced-price meals program is available year-round, completing the application as soon as possible helps ensure no interruption in meal benefits. Families who participate in Special Assistance Programs, such as SNAP, FDPIR or TANF, may still automatically qualify, but recent updates could change that status.

There is no deadline to apply. For eligibility details, FAQs and the online application, visit the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Program webpage. Families with questions or who need help completing the form can contact Northwest ISD Child Nutrition at 817-215-0007.
