Student leadership teams from Hughes, Daniel, Granger, and Hatfield elementary schools have been selected for the prestigious TEPSA Student Leadership Award, honoring their outstanding contributions to their school communities.

The teams are being celebrated at the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA) summer conference on June 11, and each campus will receive a trophy at a student leadership workshop in the fall. Their recognition comes from impactful service projects such as organizing food drives, honoring veterans and other initiatives that exemplify student-led service.

“Student-led initiatives not only enhance the educational experience but are crucial for fostering civic engagement among students,” said Harley Eckhart, TEPSA executive director. “We are proud to recognize these dynamic groups of young leaders who actively participate in their communities and make a positive difference throughout Texas.”
