For extended family members, friends and those unable to attend graduation ceremonies in person, livestreams of each ceremony will be available at live.nisdtx.org.
Reminder of Increased Traffic
As a reminder, families attending graduation ceremonies at the University of North Texas Coliseum for Byron Nelson, Eaton and Northwest high schools on May 27 are recommended to plan their route to return home prior to the ceremony, as the I-35 ramp and bridge used to return to Northwest ISD is permanently closed. Several options exist to return to each high school zone, which are listed below. Please click the bolded title to view a Google Map of each option. Northwest ISD and the University of North Texas have partnered to contract road crews who will temporarily place barriers limiting non-graduation traffic to make dismissal as seamless as possible, though there will be delays exiting the event. To help families of the next ceremony find parking, we encourage families to be mindful of quickly taking photos to make memories before departing.
- Option 1: U.S. 377 (Recommended for Byron Nelson Attendees)
To return to the Northwest ISD area, families can take North Texas Boulevard to U.S. 377 to return to the area. This route bypasses I-35 entirely and will take drivers through Argyle before reaching the Trophy Club and Roanoke area. - Option 2: Bonnie Brae Street to I-35W S (Recommended for Eaton and Northwest Attendees)
To return to the Northwest ISD area, families can use the I-35 service road directly off graduation parking to turn left onto Bonnie Brae Street, which turns into Airport Road, and then merge onto I-35W S. - Option 3: I-35 Frontage Roads to I-35W S (Recommended for Eaton and Northwest Attendees)
To return to the Northwest ISD area, families can use the I-35 service road directly off graduation parking, turning at West Oak Street and entering the I-35 service road that will allow them to merge onto I-35W S.
