High School cheerleading squads holding mandatory tryout meetings

Cheerleading squads at Northwest ISD’s three comprehensive high schools – Byron Nelson, Eaton and Northwest – will soon host mandatory meetings for students interested in trying out for next year’s squad, with the tryouts to take place in the coming weeks.

The Northwest High School mandatory cheer meeting will take place on Wednesday, January 31, in the student union at Northwest High School at 6:30 p.m. Attendance by a parent or guardian and the cheer candidate is mandatory in order to tryout on Thursday, March 7. The Byron Nelson High School mandatory cheer meeting will take place on Thursday, February 1, in the Byron Nelson Student Union at 6:30 p.m. Attendance by a parent or guardian and the cheer candidate is mandatory for a student to tryout on Thursday, March 7. The Eaton High School mandatory parent and candidate cheer meeting will take place on Thursday, February 1, in the Eaton Student Union at 6 p.m. Tryout clinics will be held Monday, March 4, and Tuesday, March 5.
