High school theatre departments rehearsing for winter performances

All three Northwest ISD comprehensive high schools — Byron Nelson, Eaton and Northwest — are preparing for several upcoming winter theatre productions. 

Tickets are on sale now for Northwest High School’s “The Wizard of Oz” musical, with community members invited to attend one of four performances.

The Texans will perform December 3 through 6, with each production taking place in the Vernon Solomon Performing Arts Center. All shows begin at 7 p.m., with the exception of the Sunday, December 4 matinee, which begins at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, students and seniors. Northwest ISD employees and Gold Card members receive free admission.

Tickets go on sale Friday, December 2, for Byron Nelson High School’s “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Jr.” musical. The community is invited to attend one of two performances.

The Bobcat theatre department will perform shows on December 15 and 16, with each production taking place in the school’s Performing Arts Center. All shows begin at 7 p.m. and tickets are $10 for adults, students and seniors. Northwest ISD employees and Gold Card members receive free admission.

Eaton High School theatre department will produce two upcoming shows, “A Christmas Carol” and “The Addams Family." 

The Eagle theatre department will perform “A Christmas Carol” December 15 through 17, with each production taking place in the Eaton High School Performing Arts Center. All shows begin at 7 p.m. and tickets are $10 for adults, students and seniors. Northwest ISD employees and Gold Card members receive free admission.

“The Addams Family” — a new musical comedy — will run January 26 through 29. All performances begin at 7 p.m., with the exception of the Sunday, January 29 matinee, which begins at 2 p.m. Tickets — once available — will be sold online or at the box office window on the performance date.
