Homecoming activities scheduled across NISD
Northwest ISD’s three comprehensive high schools – Byron Nelson, Eaton and Northwest – will host homecoming games and festivities throughout September and October, with several family-friendly events available throughout the week of each game.
Northwest High School
Northwest High School will host its homecoming game on Friday, Sept 15, when the Texans take on Brewer at Northwest ISD Stadium at 7 p.m. The NHS homecoming king and queen will be crowned at halftime of the game.
The school will host a homecoming parade beginning at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13. The parade will begin in the east parking lot at Northwest High School and end at Northwest ISD Stadium. A community pep rally will follow the parade, and the pep rally will conclude with a fireworks show sponsored by the NHS Student Council.
Finally, the school’s homecoming dance will take place from 8 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, at the NHS student union.
Byron Nelson High School
Byron Nelson High School will host its homecoming game on Friday, Sept 22, when the Bobcats take on Timber Creek at Northwest ISD Stadium at 7 p.m. The BNHS homecoming king and queen will be crowned before the game. An exact time of the crowning is yet to be determined.
The school will host a homecoming parade beginning at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20. The parade will begin and end on Bobcat Boulevard west of the BNHS campus and proceed through portions of the surrounding neighborhoods. The parade route can be viewed here. A community pep rally will follow the parade at the BNHS football field.
Finally, the school’s homecoming dance will take place from 8 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, at Byron Nelson High School. To see more information about all the school’s homecoming events taking place, visit the BNHS Homecoming website.
Eaton High School
Eaton High School will host its homecoming game on Friday, Oct. 6, when the Eagles take on Keller Central at Northwest ISD Stadium at 7 p.m. The EHS homecoming king and queen will be recognized before the game, but the crowning and announcement will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at a community pep rally.
The school will host a homecoming parade beginning at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4. Spectators should park in the athletic lot off of Willow Springs Road on the west side of campus. The community pep rally will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the parade at the EHS football field, and the homecoming king and queen crowning ceremony will be the grand finale of the pep rally.
Finally, the school’s homecoming dance will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, at Eaton High School.
