Northwest ISD has promoted Josh Embry to executive director of facilities, placing the district’s longtime electrical leader in charge of building maintenance and long-term facility planning at one of the fastest-growing districts in North Texas.
Mr. Embry has more than 25 years of service with Northwest ISD, beginning his career at age 16 as a seasonal facilities employee and steadily advancing through the organization.
He was named electrical department head in 2012, a role in which he led districtwide electrical operations and maintenance, budgeting, permitting and new system installations. He also oversaw troubleshooting efforts, guided technology improvements, trained staff and supervised teams of electricians and facility technicians.
In his new role, he will oversee all building and grounds maintenance, facility systems, energy management, preventive maintenance and warehouse operations, as well as work orders, procedures, safety standards, inventory, budgeting, staff supervision and regulatory compliance.
“It’s an honor to continue serving Northwest ISD in this new capacity,” Mr. Embry said. “I’m committed to ensuring our facilities support safe, efficient and future-ready learning environments for all students and staff.”
Mr. Embry holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Tarleton University, a master electrician certification and a Texas Electrical Contractors License.
