Memorial for Navy SEAL Gage Ingram on February 10

Memorial for Navy SEAL Gage Ingram on February 10
Please be aware the memorial service is planned to take place rain or shine. Based on current weather forecasts, it is recommended attendees bring a rain poncho or other rain-resistant clothing in the event of light to moderate showers. More than 2,000 rain ponchos have been donated for attendee use for those who do not have them. For security monitoring reasons, umbrellas will not be permitted in the stadium.

The family of U.S. Navy SEAL and Byron Nelson High School alumnus Nathan Gage Ingram will host a memorial service in remembrance of his life beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 10, at Northwest ISD Stadium, with gates opening at 8:30 a.m. Family and friends invite members of the public to join the celebration of SO2 Ingram’s life at the memorial, which will be supported by the U.S. Navy.

Special Warfare Operator 2nd Class Gage Ingram sacrificed his life on January 11 off the coast of Somalia during an elite raid of a vessel smuggling missile components to attack peaceful ships. While the family invites public attendance to honor SO2 Ingram, please be aware that the use of electronic devices will be strictly prohibited during the event. Additionally, the event will use the district standard clear bag requirements in effect at varsity football games. Clear totes and small clutches meeting this requirement will be the only bags allowed in the stadium. Attendees are welcome to bring clear bottled water, but no other food or drink is permitted.

Located at 1937 Texan Drive in Justin, Northwest ISD Stadium will seat memorial attendees on the home side, with parking available across the street on both sides of Texan Stadium. A parking map can be viewed in this image. All admissions for the event will flow through the home ticket booth entry. As with football games, event staff and signage will guide attendees to available parking. Both arrival and dismissal from the memorial will follow regular practices used for varsity football games for ease of travel.

In addition to general parking, approximately 30 parking spots will be reserved in front of Northwest ISD Stadium’s ticket booth for handicap parking. Please be aware that because of the rebuilding of the district administration offices, additional parking will not be available in this lot. Parking processes for VIPs will be communicated directly to the family and Navy representatives.

Members of the media who wish to report about the event are asked to park by the Kelly Box Agricultural Science Center, located at 1960 Texan Drive, so as not to interfere with event traffic. Media members may report from this location, as the memorial ceremony prohibits the use of cameras and is strictly for those wishing to honor SO2 Ingram and his family.
